Photographing children is like herding cats. No, wait, it’s harder than that – cats are way more amenable than toddlers! But it’s always worth it. Their playfulness and inquisitiveness helped me learn – super fast – how to effectively wield a DSLR, while being a joy to capture.
Here is a photo I took of my son Woody which made it into The Times not long after I’d finished reading my ‘Nikon for Dummies’ book…
Along with storytelling, capturing someone’s personality, freeze framing a moment in time, and documenting the beauty of the world around us, has become my raison d’être.
I am a self-taught photographer. Within months of picking up a DSLR in 2016, my work started getting published extensively in the regional and national press and I was being booked for events a variety of events including weddings, family portraits and commercial work.
In May 2022 I had a photo in the Telegraph and regularly have images in the regional press, namely, the Western Morning News and Devon Life magazine.
I love taking photos for the joy it brings people and for its art! I am keen to offer competitive packages for the budget market; I want everyone to experience the joy of having beautiful photos as a keepsake.
My hourly rate is £125 (subsequent hours, £100) for shoots a 10-mile (ish) radius from Exmouth. This includes a selection of fully edited, high-res digital images, sent to you within 48 hours (unless otherwise stated) via WeTransfer.

I can meet you at the location of your choice for an informal and fun photoshoot to capture all the love between you, to celebrate your special day.
